The story of the film Madrasile Mon is based on the brutual murder of Karikkin Villa couples of Thiruvalla. The incident was first of its kind in Kerala. The Kerala Police had no clue on this incident.
Based on the footprints, the crime branch investigted the case which lead them to Madras where the couple's close relative was studying. It has been revealed, the boy and his three co-students, one north Indian and two Nigerian nationals were drug addicts, have arranged the plot to kill the couples for money for drug trafficking. All of them have been arrested subsequently.
