സാഹിത്യകാരനും രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവര്ത്ത്കനും പത്ര പ്രവര്ത്തതകനുമായ ചന്ദ്രശേഖരന്‍ നായര്‍ തന്റെ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഡോക്ടര്‍ എന്ന നാടകം ചലച്ചിത്രമാക്കിയപ്പോള്‍ ചിത്രത്തിനു വേണ്ടി തിരക്കഥയും സംഭാഷണവും തയ്യാറാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് മലയാള സിനിമാവേദിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു.
തുടര്ന്ന് അനാര്ക്ക ലി, തിലോത്തമ, ഇന്ദുലേഖ മുതലായ ചിത്രങ്ങള്ക്ക്ട സംഭാഷണവും രാഗിണി തുടങ്ങി ഒട്ടേറെ ചിത്രങ്ങള്ക്ക് കഥയും എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുനിന്നും പുറപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന കുങ്കുമം വാരികയുടെ പത്രാധിപ സമിതിയംഗമായിരുന്നു
